Switching hosts

Unfortunately, Yahoo! Web Hosting is pretty crappy when you need a forum. No MySQL databases, no great web design format, and a couple of other things. It doesn’t fit what I need at all. So, I am going to be switching to a new host. I have heard good things about Hosting24.com, so I might go with them.

But, anyways, PackleStudioz.com will probably become PackleStudioz.net or something like that if I can not switch PackleStudioz.com to a new host.

New Packle Studioz Site

I have been working on a top secret project for some time now. And, I would like to announce that Packle Studioz will soon have it’s own website. It is hosted by Yahoo! Web Hosting.

It will have a way better version of this blog, it will be the place to put ‘Behind the Scenes’ of the games in every series, interviews with the cast, and much, much more! Though bandwidth may be an issue, I am sure we can get around that.

I will post the release date of the website when I am done. I hope you love the website as much as I do!

Plotline Finished

After much, much, much thought. I have decided to end Journey to General at Season 1. After Season 1, it will run with the new machinima series. Though I haven’t thought of a name yet. But, I suspect it will be a hit.

The new series runs beside Journey to General, with the same time period.

Journey to General was to introduce a much bigger storyline. But, the new machinima will make it a hell of a lot more interesting. I will speak with Grant as soon as I can on that this is going to happen.

Gears of War 2 machinima put on hold

The Gears of War 2 machinima has been put on hold till further notice. The storyline does not fit GoW2′s engine at all. It will be best to wait till after GoW3 comes out, it will, before I go trying to make it.

Until then, I have been thinking of a brand new Halo 3 machinima that will surpass everything I have ever done. I will be testing qualities after I get the laptop back from the shop, and see which one would work best for the episode.

I may end up spending three or four months alone on trying to get the starting movie up. Though I don’t have any plans yet, it will be an epic series. It will have many voice actors, which I can get most to help with Blue Fire- The Movie.

The main story has been thought of, but getting it to fit is going to be challening. It will have nothing to do with the Halo 3 storyline, it will be it’s own storyline.

More details on it will be released later on.

Blue Fire-The Movie on hold till further notice

Just as I said, this was going to happen. Since Blue Fire- The Movie is on hold, all voice actors currently with the role who didn’t consult me are removed from the group. I gave them a week to get back to me. If there was some sort of system to rate voice actors, hell, I would give them all low stars for low quality service and saying they would help when they don’t. Plus, I can add late work to the mix.

In other news, due to the above incident, I will put together an Actor Agreement. This agreement must be signed, online (:P), by all voice actors who are working in the series. Those who are in the management, like Grant and me, aren’t required to sign it. But, if you wish to be a voice actor with the group, you are going to have to answer a survey.

All restrictions for the survey will be noted in the Actor Agreement. I meant to have it up before, but I didn’t feel the need. Now, I do.

The laptop has been sent in, it could take up to a week to fix the blue-screen error. If my XP didn’t have crappy frame rate, then I would use it for a while. But, losing 100+ frames in the first five seconds is never good…

I said I would release the Journey to General Episode 2 script the other night, but I haven’t got around to it. I will check up on the script a couple more times more, then I will release the script to all voice actors and hopefully have it out by the end of the month.

This episode will have better camera-work. I have been playing around with camera work lately, and I feel this camera style will be a better choice in making machinimas using the Halo 3 engine.

The GoW2 machinima, which I am still thinking of a name, will be launched, hopefully, at the end of August. Just to note, GoW2 machinimas ARE harder to create then Halo 3 machinimas. So, it will take a couple weeks longer to come out with an episode, unless me and the body actors go on a killing spree with camera work.

I will start searching for voice actors tomorrow. I can already say I am going to play as the main protagonist. And, if you want to know, this machinima will act like Gears of War 3 in a way, since it starts off a couple months after Gears of War 2.

3 days till Judgement Day

No, it isn’t really Judgement Day, but all of the actors who played in Blue Fire have 3 days to decide to continue being in the machinima. Seeing how it is going, I gave them all a week, I doubt Blue Fire- The Movie will start.

Everything for it may be put on hold until I can get LOYAL actors instead of randoms who don’t give two ****s about machinima.

Journey to General will not be affected by this. Grant, who plays as John, is the co-president and a loyal actor to the group. iMyndFlame is in collaboration with the group, since me and him are also working on SS. So, JtG will not be put on hold and will continue to be the main series being created.

Since Blue Fire- The Movie may be put on hold, the GoW2 machinima will start production in four days. The first script is completed and, after I find good LOYAL actors, I will send it to them and hopefully will release it in a couple of weeks.

But, that is after the laptop is fixed, which could take a couple of weeks to finish.

JtG: Episode 2 is held back

Well, technology is great… but it can be a pain in the butt. The laptop I was using to create machinimas has suffered a severe crash that, with the manufacturer warranty, could take a few weeks to either fix or replace. The possible problem is that a virus is on explorer application (what you use to have windows pop up on your computer).

I have restored the computer several times with no success. So, it could be two or three weeks before I release it.

There is nothing else right now for the Blue Fire movie, but I am waiting for responses from every actor with the studio to see if they can continue a part in the movie. If I see there is too many actors who can not be in the movie, I am going to have to put the entire project on hold until later on when I think we can do Blue Fire- The Movie.

Journey to General’s script will be released later tonight to all actors, and I have everything else done. So, the only thing now is capturing. Once the laptop is back, expect the episode to be up in a day or two after it.

Change of Actors

No, there isn’t going to be an actor change with every person. But, it will affect Albert Benning, one of the main protagonists. He will be changed to a different actor that has yet to be determined.

Just a heads up, I will announce the new Albert soon enough.

Another thing is that all of the major sets for the movie is complete, took me most of the night last night and some this morning.

The script had to be changed a bit due to some vehicles not being on maps they should have been on. And, I don’t want to go in and get someone to hack me a map, so I am going to take the easy road and just redo a few scenes that were affected.
